Skill Shortages in the Labor Market

In every region in every country there are skill shortages for essential workers. If you are looking for a new career, consider one where there is a vast shortage of skilled workers in that industry. That would definitely stack the odds in your favor.

Career coach Diane Huth recommends that some enterprising older workers retrain as crane drivers (two-week course) to get employment at $25 per hour. In Australia, trucking companies often have a workforce of mature workers.
